Job Description

IFF in Memphis, TN is seeking a Logistics Analyst & Coordinator to join our team! If you are outgoing and work with a sense of urgency and prioritization, then this is the role for you!

The Logistics Analyst & Coordinator will be responsible for arranging worldwide shipments of products and samples to meet customer needs. In this role, you will assist production through arrangements of transportation of various materials. You will plan and manage the control and movement of product from suppliers to retail and business outlets to our customers. The Logistics Analyst & Coordinator ensures that goods are received on time, stored correctly, and dispatched according to schedules.

Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Planning / Execution of daily shipments through modes of transportation: Air Freight; FTL; FCL; LCL; and LTL
  • Communicate order information and product delivery information to carrier broker
  • Track and follow-up shipments
  • Prepare and distribute shipping documents/packets, specific portfolio reports, corrective action, or metrics
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams (customer service, supply chain, warehouse, quality, planners, freight forwarders) to ensure orders ship in a timely manner
  • Interact with warehouse for appropriate packaging/repackaging for meeting customer needs.
  • Create purchase requisitions and reconcile for documentation and transportation costs
  • Support customer service relations
  • Run various reports for analysis
  • Resolves exception notices and other invoicing disputes
  • Manage, assign, and order equipment for yard pool as needed
  • Maintains documentation and ensures follow-up for sourcing and logistics quality and safety health and environmental requirements.
  • File, data entry, and other duties as assigned
Job Requirements

The following are required:

  • High School or equivalent education
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations and transport (types, carriers, rules)
  • 3+ years of experience in Logistics and Supply Chain related work
  • Fluent business English communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within teams and independently
  • Proactive and solution focused thinking
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Previous experience working with an ERP system and/or SAP
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize work to meet deadlines
