Summary of Role:

Responsible for providing US coverage, coding, and payment strategy expertise to support Lantheus Holdings diagnostic radiopharmaceutical and radiotherapeutic portfolio.

The individual in this role will lead the development and implementation of diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceutical brand reimbursement strategies, including responsibility for monitoring, reviewing, and analyzing payer coverage, coding, and payment policies with a primary focus on Medicare and other government payers for lifecycle brands and launch preparation for pipeline assets.

The successful candidate will have a unique mix of skills including influencing, advocating, and translating payer policy into business strategies working across industry associations, governmental payer, and other stakeholders to facilitate the appropriate coverage, coding, and payment for across the Lantheus Holdings as a portfolio.

This role will identify and share key payer & policymaker trends and insights and inform the organization of strategic, financial, and operational implications. These insights will be incorporated into broader commercial strategies. This role will drive the strategic alignment by creating processes that leverage insights, share best practices, and develop a culture of open and transparent communication.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide expertise on coding, coverage, and payment mechanisms for commercial and government payers to brand management, sales, legal, finance and other functional areas to ensure key reimbursement information is incorporated in development, licensing, marketing, pricing, and sales plans.
  • Monitor payer coverage policies, legislation, regulations, and policy changes and evaluate potential business impact.
  • Establish and lead interactions while maintaining strong relationships with a wide range of trade organizations, coalitions, congresses, societies national providers, medical societies and state and federal government regulatory agencies to optimize reimbursement practices for Lantheus diagnostic & therapeutics radiopharmaceuticals. Preferred current relationships with ASCO, ASTRO, SNMMI, COA, AUA, HOPA, CMS and US Legislators.
  • Maintain up-to-date information around coding and reimbursement for all products, including partnering with marketing operations to develop and delivery of customized and product specific reimbursement tools and resources to engage and educate both internal teams and external customers.
  • Understand customer perspective and develop a POV on how the market access landscape is evolving within diagnostic & therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals and the Lantheus key disease state areas.
  • Spearhead, monitor and complete ongoing projects and identify future areas of opportunity to enhance the company's reimbursement capabilities with creative approaches to solutions to enhance patient access to our innovative therapies & diagnostics.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts and internal processes for budget and payment.

Candidate Preferred Requirements:

  • Typical Minimum Skills and Experience & Education BS/BA; bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Economics, or related field; Advance degree strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of coverage, coding, payment, and policy work with a focus on Medicare reimbursement.
  • Minimum 5 years strong policy expertise with CMS and Legislative Advocacy driving positive outcomes and results.
  • Preferred experience specifically in radiopharmaceuticals, imaging, diagnostics and/or complex oncology therapies.
  • Demonstrates a solid understand of the US payer market, experience with both commercial and public payers and understand the decision-making process for new treatments and imaging agents within the payer community.
  • Prior commercial leadership experience in payer/channel marketing, government affairs, advocacy a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate and lead in a cross-functional working environment.
  • Successful analytical and strategic planning with decision making with strong problem-solving skills, project management and organization skills.
  • Proven ability to successfully manage complexity and simplify and solve business problems in a highly matrixed, collaborative work environment,
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and organize own work without continuous direct supervision.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.
