Supply Chain Operations Specialist II

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Supply Chain Operations Specialist II
  • Location: Highland Park, IL
  • Full Time
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 7am - 3:30pm, Weekends as needed. Holidays as needed
  • Required Travel: Rotating Locations as Needed

What you will do:

  • Responsible for the inventory control, PAR utilization and management, product standardization, contract compliance, and assuring the cost-effectiveness and reliability of an acquisition and distribution system for the consumable and reusable supplies for Supply Chain Specialty areas.
  • Ensure a detailed understanding of the ordering process, inventory management, contract compliance, data analysis, independent judgment and discretion in decision-making and problem solving.
  • Deal effectively with the demands of departmental relationships, with proven strong interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively.
  • Assume responsibility and accountability for ordering, maintaining, receiving, and distributing supplies and materials to various hospital departments.
  • Process all electronically handled purchase orders in the supply management program
  • Stock patient care products according to established protocols.
  • Facilitate orders, receipts, processing and distribution of all inventory specialty and non-stock (stockless) items to the assigned departments.

What you will need:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required, Associate's Degree preferred
  • Certification: Specialized courses related to materials management, inventory, and/or OSHA requirements preferred
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years related tomaterials management systems or with progressively more responsible related work experience in supply chain. Knowledge of Lawson System and associated handheld preferred
