Donaldson is looking for a Regional (Sr.) Field Service Manager to lead our Services organization in the Midwest Region. You will be responsible for a 5-state service territory, directly leading a team of technicians, support staff and managers to deliver great customer experiences in maintenance, installations, and repairs of industrial filtration equipment.

This leader will partner with our service coordination, remote monitoring and field sales teams to deliver an excellent service experience and business growth in their assigned territory. Role Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for revenue and gross margin in your territory.

  • Track and manage key metrics of your service team to drive efficiency and results.

  • Monthly reviews of performance metrics.

  • Review work orders as they close to ensure profitability and completeness of work.

  • Manage and lead a team of technician managers.

  • Create and ensure services documentation and processes are followed through the team.

  • Deploy training and develop your team of technicians.

  • Work closely with our service coordinator team for scheduling and conflicts.

  • Manage customer escalations and feedback.

  • Support field sales to quote and win jobs.

  • Drive a culture of customer service, safety and continuous improvement.

  • Develop improved processes for your territory for the best customer experience possible.

  • Build and deploy new service capabilities into your team with cross-training.

  • Ensure safety training and documentation stay up to date.

  • Develop healthy partnerships with our network of service partners.

  • Leverage CRM and field service software to record and track the jobs, revenue and costs.

  • Travel within territory as needed to support staff and customers.

  • Play an active role in large service jobs and installations.

  • Liaise with corporate on strategic initiatives, training and compliance needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (business or technical preferred)

  • 5+ years as a manager of people

  • 5+ years prior experience in a sales, technical or services capacity

  • Demonstrated technical or industrial vocabulary and aptitude

  • Demonstrated aptitude using a CRM system or a field service management system. Other documentation, tracking, and presentations completed using Microsoft Office Applications

  • Demonstrated ability to understand financial metrics (revenue, cost, gross margin, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading a distributed or field workforce

  • Great verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to build trust and accountability in people and teams

  • Knowledge of industrial filtration applications (dust collectors, air compressors, fume, hydraulic)

Travel:

  • Must be willing to travel 50% when needed within the 5- state region (likely travel would be closer to 25%)
