As the Change Management Specialist, you will work closely with the Orthopaedics Business leadership and Enterprise PMO to design and implement an effective change strategy and plan; focusing on the people side of change - including changes to business processes, systems and technology and ways of working.

You will play a meaningful role in ensuring that Orthopaedics Business Unit transformation initiatives meet their objectives and achieve the identified business benefits by growing employee adoption and engagement and embedding the desired behavioral changes in leaders, managers and employees. You will promote attitudes and culture aligned to Smith+Nephew and ensure that benefits are delivered sustainably.

What will you be doing?

  • Apply specialized knowledge of change management techniques to the development and execution of change plans that inspire employees to successfully take on changes, change behaviors whilst minimizing resistance. This will include partner management, evaluating organizational readiness and liaising with Internal Communication on communication strategies, suitability of communication tools, as well as support for the preparation of communication, training and other change management materials to engage stakpartners change recipients.
  • Use analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify innovative solutions to resistance and other complex problems regarding the change in focus.
  • Provide direct support and coaching to senior managers and middle managers globally, as required, as they support their teams through transitions to the desired future state.
  • Leadership/Sponsorship Alignment: Guide and coach leaders and sponsors to establish and maintain the commitment vital for the change program.
  • Stakeholder Impact: Proactively work with project teams to identify and assess partners in context of change being introduced. Anticipate and lead partner change readiness and resistance challenges and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Communications: Liaise with the Internal Communication team to develop plans and strategies to support the project. Interact with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts to critically evaluate information captured from multiple sources and translate the information into change activities.
  • Change Assessment: Complete change assessments and inspire change management strategy. Work with teams to assess change impact and evaluate user readiness. Identify risks and issues related to Change Management and identify solutions.
  • Support training efforts and enable the change successfully
  • Identify, engage and facilitate employee change networks across sites, geographies and functions.

What will you need to be successful?

  • Education: Bachelor degree in Human Resources or related field or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • 8+ years experience supporting large scale, transformation programs.
  • Global experience strongly desired.
  • Ability to build personal credibility and strong working relationships through quality of contributions, trustworthiness, openness, and candour. Provides influential counsel and coaching to business leaders driving change. Contracts effectively and appropriately manages client expectations.
  • Ability to influence effectively in a matrix organization.
