Job Responsibilities:

  • Supports Harman Production facilities as the primary customer on-site contact for any product quality related issues
  • Provide monthly quality reports required by Harman plants and customer
  • Work daily with HBAS program team to handle system and manufacturing issues
  • Develop and establish a close and strong relationship with customer key contacts
  • Initiate preliminary investigation of suspect products reported at customer global locations
  • Confirm failure mode of product using A-B-A process
  • Dispute any discrepancies with thecustomer until quality records reflect accurate results
  • Present 8D to thecustomer for theclosure of the issue, and ensure customer records are accurate with final PPM, and dispute any discrepancies with thecustomer until quality records reflect accurate results
  • Initiate, implement, and drive containment actions at thecustomer location,including training and supervision of inspectors of sort and rework methods, acceptance criteria, part marking, and part tracking
  • Establish a clean point at thecustomer location, communicate clean point to all involved organizations including the customer
  • Coordinate the segregation and disposal (scrap, ship back to manufacturing plant and/or rework) of the faulty or suspicious product
  • Support product launch activities and product trial runs at the customer location
  • Provide technical support for the customer directed by Harman Development activities
  • Assist customer with functional tests, flashing, debugging, and validation of Production parts
  • Monitor quality leading indicator KPI data, work proactively to maintain positive trends

Basic Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, communication and presentation skills
  • Team oriented self-starter with strong leadership
  • Skilled in basic quality problem-solving tools, 8D, 5-why, Pareto Analysis, Cause & Effect Analysis, Risk Analysis
  • Skilled with MS Office Software, Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Base understanding of APQP and PPAP requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (electronics concentration)
  • At least 3 years' of experience in the automotive industry manufacturing and assembly environment.
  • At least 3 years' of experience with automotive quality systems
  • Prior experience with Automotive OEM or Tier1 customer management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Hyundai and Kia Group Standards
  • Previous experience with Automotive Infotainment and Audio Systems
  • Working knowledge of vehicle bus systems by analysis tool, Canoe/Canalyzer.
  • Korean language skills

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Willingness to work from a home office located in either Alabama or Georgia US, with travel 20% to Montgomery, Alabama (HMMA), Bryan County, Georgia(HMGMA), West Point, Georgia (KMMG) and Monterrey, Mexico (KMX)
  • Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen
