The Field Inventory Consignment Supervisor is responsible for maintaining trunk stock and consignment inventory in the field. This role works closely with the Sales Teams to ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time. This role would coordinate the workflow of the Inventory Management Team and provide support and training to team members. This role is responsible for developing strategies that build strong business partnerships within other functional areas of the business, identifies opportunities for process improvement, and develop strategies that align with Bioventus strategic imperatives.

*Please Note* This is not a warehouse inventory role; this role is responsible for managing field inventory.What you'll be doing

  • Managing Consignment Agreements and monitoring PAR Levels across the customer base.
  • Coordinate, assist, and review assigned physical inventories with sales force to ensure accurate field inventory levels and accuracy of field trunk stock.
  • Supervises and coordinates workflow of Inventory Specialists and provides support and training to all team members.
  • Assists manager in interviewing candidates, processes new hires, conducts departmental orientation, document performance and participate in administration of discipline, up to and including termination.
  • Supervises detailed system review of the inventory processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Coaches, develops and ensures focus and alignment with functional and company goals. Performs talent management and assessment requirements for team.
  • Performs quality assurance audits to ensure efficient and accurate entry of inventory information, client information, authorizations, and other information in SAP.
  • Identifies problems and negative trends with customers regarding policy and contracts and updates key personnel regarding all findings.
  • Evaluates team members' performance to ensure adequate employee development and processes annual review and written appraisals.
  • Supports Sales Management team by preparing sales analysis, investigating concerns and discrepancies related to inventory processing.
  • Research complaints by examining relevant information to determine accuracy and responsibility of error.
  • Schedules and monitors vacation time for team members to ensure adequate coverage for work volume.
  • Develops and delivers presentations for in-house training and education programs for staff, sales representatives, and distributors.
What you'll bring to the table

  • Bachelor degree and a minimum 2 years related experience OR Candidate without degree should have a minimum of 6 years related experience
  • Consignment Inventory experience
  • Minimum 6 years of supervisory experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work with aggressive deadlines
  • Work closely with other team members and function efficiently under pressure and time restraints
  • Detailed knowledge of consignment inventory, customer service, and follow-up functions in terms of what, why, and how work is to be done
  • CRT/PC experience using on-line computer terminal applications or formal training.
  • PC experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook or other related software is essential
  • Knowledge of SAP or other integrated software applications preferred.
