Covia is looking for a dynamic Laborer who will have a positive impact on the Operations team at its Camden, TN location.

The successful incumbent will have the following Key Accountabilities:

• Clearing sand via water hose, shovel, broom, or skid steer (with proper training)
• Assist in inspecting / cleaning hopper cars
• Weed-eating Company properties
• Spray weeds and brush
• Removing debris as required
• Maintaining/cleaning breakrooms and work areas
• Operating utility type mobile equipment (with proper training) including telehandler and forklift
• Fill totes and containers
• Operating chain saws or loppers for cutting small tree saplings / brush
• Various painting projects
• Other duties as assigned by Management but will not be responsible for covering for breaks or operating production loaders

The successful incumbent will have the following Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required
• Safety conscious and ability to work with fellow operators or laborers
• Conduct & document workplace examinations
• Conduct and document mobile equipment pre-use inspections
• Ability to wear respirator
• Must be able to lift objects up to 50 lbs.
• Safely drive company work vehicles
• Inspect tools and equipment for safety and function
