YOUR DAY-DAY WILL INCLUDE:

  • Supports the Survey department with the production of maps and drawings.
  • Ensures quality of work by verifying its accuracy, thoroughness, and clarity prior to submission.
  • Meets project deadlines, ensures budgets are aligned, remains responsive to clients, and ensures proper communication with the project team.
  • Responsible for downloading and uploading field data, and the technical production of maps and drawings using various software platforms.
  • Manages CAD drawing files for production, deliverables, and archiving.
  • Prepares drawings for various members of the project team.
  • Coordinates with others outside of the project team as necessary for project development.
  • Performs other miscellaneous technical and non-technical duties as assigned.
  • On occasion, fieldwork may be required. Those duties would include observation of sitework.

    WHAT YOU NEED:

    • Associate degree in CAD or equivalent is required.
    • Requires 5 years' experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D 2018, processing survey computation, C&G, Trimble, data processing, GPS, boundary, surveys, ALTA/ACSM land title surveys, topographic surveys, utility route surveys, and construction staking.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
    • The ability to balance multiple work assignments on multiple projects at the same time is required.
    • The ability to work alone but also effectively as part of a team is required.
    • Requires process-oriented thinking with strong organizational and technical skills.
    • Requires excellent communication, and the ability to take and understand directives.
    • The ability to complete work consistently, with moderate flexibility to accommodate varying project demands is required.
    • Candidates are required to have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record as determined by McKim & Creed.
    • Candidates are required to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
