Job Summary:

The main responsibilities of the Senior Analyst will encompass providing daily support to the accounting and finance departments. The role calls for a flexible detail oriented individual skilled at handling several different projects. The Senior Analyst will compile and analyze financial data, prepare reports, both operational and financial, and meet regularly with senior leaders of the organization to review. The Senior Analyst is responsible for tracking, analyzing, and reporting on primary finance drivers. This position will assist in the preparation and generation of financial reports as well as budgeting and forecasting. The position reports directly to the Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis, but the position will be highly visible throughout the organization working directly with several senior leaders and executives.

Position Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for accurately reporting results on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis by compiling all necessary data, both financial and operational, to complete the financial package
  • Assist in preparing annual operating and capital budgets for all business functions, including planning for strategic objectives, headcount, initiatives, expenses, and productivity
  • Provide comprehensive variance analysis, including identification of gaps, trends, and opportunities within the company and recommendations for possible course corrections
  • Assist in preparing and managing detailed monthly forecasts, including identification of risks and opportunities within the company
  • Plan, facilitate and implement ad hoc analyses to support decision-making, evaluate business initiatives, evaluate performance, etc.
  • Assist in preparing detailed month-end product, market, and department financial and operational reporting
  • Support all other projects and activities as directed by the Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis
Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in healthcare or finance preferred
  • Knowledge of financial reporting, cost analysis and accounting practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Vlookups, Pivot Table, complex calculations, etc.
  • Ability to work independently and seek supervision appropriately
  • Must be well organized, able to multi-task, detail oriented, and able to complete projects and assignments in a timely manner
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact well with team members from other departments
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility and ability to respond to changing priorities.
