POSITION SUMMARY

The Vice President, Provider Talent is responsible for developing and overseeing the organization's provider recruitment strategies and infrastructure.


Responsibilities

  • Oversees the planning process to determine the number and types of providers required to maintain the health and wellness of the communities we serve.
  • Works collaboratively with medical group and facility leadership within all levels of the organization to develop and execute short and long term medical staff and medical group recruitment plans.
  • Oversees provider recruiting innovation activities including providing subject matter expertise and implementation support to Ardent partner organizations.
  • Provides strategic oversight for the complete provider recruitment cycle from need identification to on-boarding and retention. Evaluate and implement best practices to transform the organizations distributed model into one unified recruitment team.
  • Leads the implementation and management of applicant tracking tools and develops key performance indicator reporting for all levels of the organization.
  • Develops residency and fellowship recruitment strategies maximizing Ardent's academic partnerships. Represents AH at select medical specialty meetings, medical and residency schools, specialty trade shows, and executive liaison to specialty trade publications.
  • Collaboratively evaluates and implements policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient achievement of recruitment goals
  • Works collaboratively within the organization to achieve goals: Operations, HR, Quality, Marketing, Public Relations, Legal, Compliance, IT
  • Gathers, processes, and reports market trends impacting provider recruitment.
  • Coordinates with legal/compliance to ensure compliance with governmental regulations.
  • Possesses an executive presence by exhibiting expertise and effective communication that builds credibility and trust

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree is required; Master's Degree is preferred
  • At least 7-10 years of direct experience provider recruiting in a corporate office, or local healthcare system, or within a major multi-specialty Provider organization.
  • Provider recruiting and management in healthcare is required
  • AAPPR (Association for Advancing Physician and Provider Recruiting) Certification Preferred
  • Recruiting agency experience is preferred.
