The Radiology Tech Assistant is responsible for performing various radiographic procedures including routine, portable, emergent procedures, using proper technique and positioning to ensure safe and efficient imaging. Assists the radiologist in a variety of procedures. Assists with medical imaging exams performed outside of main department. Assists all medical imaging modalities in imaging and daily duties. Direct observation and supervision by a registry eligible (graduate) or registered radiologic technologist is required. Follows radiation safety guidelines.
PRN, as needed. High School Diploma or GED required, Current attendance in a school of radiologic technology required. BLS required upon hire or must obtain within 90 days of employment. Six months experience as in a clinical setting preferred.
