Concrete Steps to Ensure Your Organization Is Prepared Should OFCCP's Proposed Disability Regulations Become Final in Their Current Form

OFCCP has proposed extensive new requirements for government contractors in an effort to promote the employment of qualified individuals with disabilities in the workplace. If the past is any indication of lead time, contractors typically are afforded 60 or 90 days in which to put in place the mechanisms for compliance once the regulations are published in their final form. Comments to OFCCP's proposed rule are due no later than February 7, 2012. read more

TRICARE Network Providers being Subject to OFCCP Requirements

By signing the National Defense Authorization Act ("NDAA") on December 31st, President Obama dealt a blow to the OFCCP's determined effort in gaining jurisdiction over the healthcare industry. For more than a decade, the OFCCP has been fighting, and seemingly winning, the battle to claim that healthcare facilities are considered subcontractors and are therefore subject to compliance under Executive Order 11246, Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the Vietnam Era Veteran Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA). read more
