Continental Automotive located in Deer Park, IL is seeking a highly self-motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer Intern to join our Vehicle Networking and Information (VNI) group. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, is dependable and accountable.

THE POSITION

The Electrical Engineer Intern will assist with the following:

• Sample preparation for customer/certification/development purposes, including preparation (HW modifications), testing and shipping.
• Support test execution during Engineering Evaluations / DVs / PVs.
• Program documentation creation and upkeep: Test Reports, Component Qualification Matrix, etc.
• Bench tests of Re-DTC ideas
• Alternate supplier testing of BUB cells
• Assemble and test suitcase testers

Job Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be enrolled in a US accredited degree program
• Must maintain a minimum GPA of a 2.8
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum Sophomore standing or higher
• Must be able to work on-site at our Deer Park, IL location
• Able to work 40 hours/week during the Summer
• Understanding of basic engineering principles
• Good communication skills, problem solving skills, and the ability to work in a diverse environment
• Continental is not able to pay relocation expenses for this opportunity
