Architects have the task of visualizing large structures and how to best implement its space, following requirements and making sure it's safe - all while appeasing the owner's opinions on aesthetics. Robert Ivy is a highly respected, longtime architect and is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the American Institute of Architects. He chats with Tim Muma about the inner workings of his profession, including what it takes to land a job, learn the ropes, and succeed throughout one's architectural career.
