Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare dining room for service.
- Attend pre-meal with attending kitchen staff for specials and menu additions.
- Greet guests at table and take all orders.
- Enter orders into Micros.
- Prepare table for each course with appropriate setting.
- Deliver orders to table in a timely manner and professional manner.
- Clear and clean table after each course.
- Present guest with check and process payment.
- Clear and reset tables for next guest.
- Take and deliver room service orders.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- High School Diploma required. Bachelors’ degree preferred.
- Minimum three years’ related work experience banquets.
- Flexibility to perform job responsibilities outside of this job description that may require assisting other departments in their regular functions.
- Ability to comply with all hotels policy and procedures.
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and/or flexible hours.
- Must be alert, friendly and able to assist guests with courtesy and promptness.
- Ability to stay focused and self-motivated for long periods of time.
- Ability understand and speak English when receiving instructions in English or when speaking to people that speak language(s) other than own native language.
- Ability to hear and verbally communicate customer requests.
- Excellent computer skills – Excel, Word, Publisher
