Job Description
Overview:

We are actively seeking a Student Helper to join our Cancer and Blood Disorders team within the Center for Clinical & Translational Research at Seattle Children's Research Institute!

Position Overview:

* Gain knowledge of clinical research data collection and submission process for a variety of pediatric oncology clinical trials* Work with multiple types of databases and enter information accurately and in a timely manner* Participate in regulatory file management (printing, filing, saving, scanning, requesting electronic signatures, etc. )* Assist with organizing supplies and equipment needed for obtaining, processing, and shipping research samples* Manage data entry and regulatory activities for chart abstraction study or studies* Prepare and process recruitment mailings for non-therapeutic studies* Gain knowledge in non-therapeutic study participant approaches, consenting, and follow-up visits or calls* Opportunity to gain knowledge in day-to-day management of oncology clinical trials including IRB submissions* Work with a variety of Study Investigators and Clinical Research Coordinators to assist in tasks or projects as needed

Requirements

Required Education/Experience: - Attending High School at least at the "Junior" level OR High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred: - Data entry and word processing experience - Knowledge of medical terminology - Administrative experience in a research setting - Currently enrolled in college level courses at an accredited college or university.
