Job Summary

Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Compliance Specialist (Senior Associate)

Location: open to any location

Crowe LLP is seeking a Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Compliance Specialist. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with rules and regulations on Continuing Professional Education (CPE). Position reports to the Licensing and CPE Compliance Department within Crowe LLP's Firm Risk Management business unit.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years' experience in a related role in an accounting firm or the legal field, as well as experience with Workday as a Human Resource Management system, Cornerstone Learning Management (LMS) system, Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Tracking and Monitoring system, and SharePoint.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Maintain a deep understanding of rules and regulations around continuing education for professional accounting firms outlined by NASBA, AICPA, PCAOB, GAO, and State Boards of Accountancy.
  • Provide support for client and prospect CPE events by ensuring compliance with the NASBA Standards for CPE which includes reviewing required documentation (invitations, etc.).
  • Review course agendas and content to determine the appropriate field(s) of study and accurate assignment of CPE credit measurement.
  • Monitor CPE deadlines for various jurisdictions to ensure requirements are met.
  • Provide client service by answering questions and troubleshooting issues around CPE and compliance.
  • Support CPA exam candidates by processing requests for CPA exam study materials and bonus applications.
  • Responsible for providing guidance in all areas of responsibility to minimize risk to Firm and all Croweprofessionals
  • Research and document information using various Internet search engines and research sites.
  • Assist with SharePoint site or Teams content management and administration.
  • Evaluate and encourage process improvement to provide effectiveness and enhance service delivery.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required or Paralegal Certificate.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, time management and analytical skills.
  • Above average Excel skills analyzing large amounts of data that include the use of concatenate, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office 365, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to build professional and respectful working relationships at all levels internal and/or external to the firm.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong Internet research skills.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed during peak seasons.
